Through collaborative discussions and an engaging seminar led by Dr. Nipa Thakkar, participants will exchange ideas, share experiences, and help identify new ways to strengthen member engagement in your district.
LEAD stands for Leadership, Engagement, Acceleration, and Development. The program will enhance current leaders and cultivate future ones for the districts and the state. With the LEAD program, the NCDS is investing in you and we’re asking you to invest your energies in strengthening the Dental Society.
About our Facilitator
Dr. Nipa Thakkar
Dr. Nipa Thakkar is a nationally recognized leadership voice who is known for her ability to translate complex organizational dynamics into practical, actionable leadership frameworks.
Dr. Thakkar is a practicing dentist who has served in numerous high-level leadership roles, including Chair of the ADA New Dentist Committee, Chair of the ADA Council on Membership, and member of multiple governance, underwriting, risk management, and marketing committees. She served as a consultant to the ADA on Member Equity, Inclusion, and Analytics. She currently contributes to national governance reform initiatives, helping shape forward-thinking organizational strategy at the highest levels.
Her leadership development programs focus on motivating volunteers, building high-performing teams, coaching emerging leaders, and fostering cultures of accountability and belonging. She is especially passionate about equipping leaders to navigate politics, change resistance, and stakeholder complexity with clarity and confidence.
Dr. Thakkar challenges leaders to think strategically, communicate decisively, and lead with both courage and empathy.
